I’ve read many versions of this story - how to appreciate the little things in life to boost your mood. Many echo the same tired, self-care affirmations we’ve heard time and again - Unplug! Take a walk! Have a dance party! Rearrange your furniture!
No, I want small acts of indulgence. I want to host myself with simple treats. I want to utilize things I already own and love. I want free ways to feel fancy (and yes, still go for walks, drink lemon water, and host the occasional dance party because they all always make me feel better).
